Mechanical Engineer - Data Capture Equipment

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall mechanical structure and mechanism design of robotic teleoperation equipment, including exoskeleton structure, joint transmission, ergonomics, and wearable structure.
- Design the mechanical implementation of the leader-follower mapping mechanism, ensuring consistency in range of motion, degrees of freedom, and kinematics.
- Responsible for the design of mechanical structures related to force feedback and impedance interaction, ensuring force transmission accuracy, stiffness, and safety.
- Responsible for the prototype design, processing, assembly, and debugging verification of remote-operated equipment.
- Responsible for dimensional chain analysis, strength and stiffness verification, and key component life assessment.
- Responsible for the routing of wiring harnesses and the reasonable layout and electromechanical integration of sensors and actuators in the structure.
- Responsible for optimizing the comfort, safety, and reliability of remote-operated equipment in real usage scenarios.
- Responsible for the standardized structural design from prototype to reproducible engineering version, laying the foundation for data collection and mass production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in structural or mechanism design.
- Possess a solid foundation in mechanical principles, kinematics, transmission design, and materials technology.
- Proficient in using at least one 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or NX.
- Possess experience in designing complex multi-degree-of-freedom mechanisms, understanding kinematic consistency and mechanism error propagation.
- Possess good hands-on prototyping skills, capable of independently completing prototype assembly and problem diagnosis.
- Possesses strong engineering capabilities, able to transform laboratory prototypes into stable and reproducible systems.
- Has a strong interest in human-computer interaction devices, exoskeletons, force feedback devices, or teleoperation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with exoskeletons, leader-follower teleoperation devices, VR or force-feedback equipment, or teleoperated robotic arms.
- Familiar with the integration methods of sensors such as encoders, torque sensors, and IMUs in mechanical systems.
- Possess experience with joint modules, direct-drive motors, harmonic reducers, or wire rope/timing belt transmission designs.
- Understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics modeling, with practical knowledge of leader-follower control systems.
- Experience designing data capture equipment, research platforms, or simulation and validation equipment.
Work Style
- Mechanical design here does not end with drawing the plans; it needs to be worn, held in hand, and remain reliable and stable over long-term use.
- You will frequently participate in prototype assembly, debugging, and user trial fittings, using real feedback to drive rapid structural iterations.
